BANANA AND YOGURT PARFAIT

Hi all,One more simple perfect frozen dessert from my kitchen!!!!!The very best part of this dessert that it is made from very simple ingredients which are anytime available in your pantry.

BANANA AND YOGURT PERFECT PARFAIT. In French perfect is said as parfait ( parfe) A healthy dessert for kids too.
This should be stored in freezer and transfer the tray in refrigerator before an hour of serving. But do remember to demould once removed from freezer.

Below recipe serves 8 persons.

RECIPE:

INGREDIENTS:

2 large or 3 medium sized sliced bananas

1 tsp lemon juice

2/5 cup yogurt

1/2 cup heavy cream with added sugar

1 tbsp honey

1 1/2 tbsp cointreau or 1 tsp orange zest

6 oreo cookies

TO GARNISH:

honey

pistachio

black grapes or any fruit of your choice

METHOD:

Take sliced bananas in a bowl. Add lemon juice. Mix well and microwave for 1 minute.

Whip the heavy cream until you get stiff like consistency. Surprise.. Whipped cream is purely homemade without using heavy cream.. Will blog next time.

In a mixer jar Add the bananas, yogurt, honey and cointreau or orange zest and blend finely.

Now fold the banana mix into the whipped cream.

Pour the mixture into a silicon mould and freeze for 1 hour. You can use any mould but keep in mind that you have to unmould. So use either glassware or silicon which is best.

Now crumble oreos and cover the top. Press it lightly so that all oreos get stick to the parfait mix.

Now freeze for atleast an hour or completely frozen.

Take the frozen yogurt out of the mould and cut into desired portion size. Serve with additional honey and your favorite toppings. I have used black grapes, pistachios, honey, strawberry preserve and cocoa powder.

KEEP COOKING!!!!
