Had lots of lots of fatty food since friday night😤😤. So made this last night only for dinner. Full protein diet💪🏻. Perfect dinner for two👫☺️.
This is very easy and quick to make. Got this recipe of SURMAI RAVA FRY from one of my dearest friend. She make potato rava fry in the same way. So vegetarians may opt for that and non vegetarians have both the options 🤗.
FOR COATING SURMAI:
2 large and clean surmai slices
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
Salt as per your taste
1 heaped tsp malwani masala
2 tsp water
FOR MAKING UPPER RAVA COATING:
2 tbsp semolina or rava
1/4 tsp salt
2-3 pinches of salt
1/2 tsp of red chilli powder
1 tsp oil… I have used kachi ghani mustard oil. You may opt as per your choice
Mix all ingredients as given in above mentioned FOR COATING SURMAI section except surmai.
Now coat surmai with the spice paste made. Cover and let surmai rest for 15 minutes.
Now mix all the ingredients of RAVA COATING.
Heat oil in a non stick pan.
Take one slice of surmai and coat well with semolina mix by pressing your fingers on both the sides.
Place the slice in your heated pan. Cover and cook on medium high for 2-3 minutes.
Flip the side and cook the other side in a same way.
Take the fish out and enjoy with your favourite salad. I made onion, tomato and coriander mix salad by adding english mustard, honey and mayo.
