Got a can of pineapple from a friend relocating to US. Was wondering what to do. No cakes or pies🙅🏻.

Made this sweet chilli pineapple sauce 😋.. This recipe yields 300 gms of this sauce.


1 can Del Monte Pineapple roundels including sugar syrup

1 cup granulated sugar

1 heaped tsp salt

1/2 cup apple cider vinegar

5 tbsp chilli flakes

2 tbsp minced garlic.. hv used dried ones

2 tbsp cornflour

2 tbsp water


Chop pineapple roundels roughly into pieces.

Take chopped pineapple, sugar syrup, granulated sugar, salt and vinegar ina saucepan.

Switch on your gas stove and let the mixture boil once.

Add chilli flakes and minced garlic.

Stir and boil for 5 minutes.

By the time, mix water and cornflour. Add into the boiling mixture. Boil for a minute more.

Switch off the flame.

Cool and store in a sterilised glass jar. Refrigerate and 👅.. for a month.
